A disgusting, racist experience that ruined my whole day. This restaurant is in Korea, but it’s run by Arab Muslim owners, and they were some of the most racist, disrespectful people I’ve ever encountered. I came in excited to support a local Korean place only to be treated like I didn’t even deserve to be there. The Korean staff were kind and respectful, but the Arab owners made the entire experience unbearable. From the moment I stepped in, their faces changed. They looked me up and down, whispered in Arabic, laughed, and deliberately ignored me and my group. They kept taking other customers’ orders even people who came after us and left us sitting there hungry and humiliated. It was obvious that they didn’t want to serve me because I’m Black. The tension was clear. They were giggling and talking in Arabic like I couldn’t tell they were making fun of us. The disrespect was unbelievable and it was coming from people who claim to be Muslim, yet completely ignored the basic principles of Islam: no racism, no arrogance, no cruelty. The food might be Korean, but the energy was toxic. Even the Korean staff looked uncomfortable with how the owners behaved. I’ve traveled, I’ve eaten in many places, but I’ve never been treated this low before especially by people from my own faith. It’s embarrassing and shameful. If you’re Black, or if you simply value being treated like a human being, stay far away from this place. The racism is real, and they don’t even try to hide it. Absolutely disgusting behavior.

The kimchi is so good and refillable. The waitress gave us a big second serving when we request for more. The ginseng chicken is served on a claypot so the food is piping hot and tastes so nice too. Must try if you’re in the area as they serve affordable, nice food and provide good service with little crowds.

Walking distance from Itaewon Metro Station. If you are looking for authentic Korean food, this is the place to go. Korean chef with Malay staff.

The juciest and halal bulgogi I've eaten. You'll enjoy every meal in there. Although it is generally open for walk-in customers, however, it would be best to book/schedule early because they are jampacked. When we arrived, it was fully booked. People are literally enjoying their meals and there was queue also. We had to wait for an hour or more to get inside. Nonetheless, for a Muslim traveler in SK, this should be on your list.

I took my Korean friend to try halal Korean food, and even he said it tasted great! For me, it was super tasty, really umami. The location’s also really convenient, close to the Central Mosque and not too far from Itaewon subway station. We ordered bulgogi, bibimbap, and rabokki, and the prices were still pretty affordable. When we went, the place had just opened so it was still quiet, and we didn’t have to wait long for the food. If you’re looking to try halal Korean cuisine, you definitely gotta check this place out!
