Kroud Cafe

Tried their chicken tenders and OMG, they nailed it 😍 Crispy on the outside, super tender inside — literally melts in your mouth. The seasoning was on point, not too salty, just enough to make you crave more. I paired it with their iced latte, and it was a solid combo. The café vibe? Chill and minimal, perfect for lepak or doing some work. Service was fast, staff polite, honestly one of those hidden gems in Kuantan you shouldn’t skip! 🔥

Okay, I know the name sounds funny but this café is actually really cool. Indie vibes, creative décor, music soft indie rock. I tried their pasta and chicken— both comforting and well made. The staff were nice, service a bit slow but they were polite about it. Chill spot for creative minds or anyone who loves quiet corners and good desserts.

D'Pondok Western

D’Pondok Western serves up a tasty mix of Western classics like chicken chops, spaghetti with grilled meats, fish & chips, and cheesy wedges—overall flavour is good and many customers like the juiciness of the meat and generous portion sizes. Prices are fairly reasonable for its ambience (RM20-RM30+ for mains) and the dine-in + delivery options are appreciated. On the downside, some diners feel the sauces (like black pepper) could be more robust, and there are occasional issues with consistency in side items (fries or coleslaw) being too salty or not quite fresh. Overall, D’Pondok Western is a solid choice when you’re craving Western food in Kuantan.

Wiby Cafe

Trendy café with minimalistic interiors. I tried their matcha & croissant — croissant buttery and flaky, matcha smooth and balanced. Vibe modern, cozy, music chill. Staff welcoming, service quick. Perfect for solo coffee session or catch-up with friends. LAWAAAA TEMPAT! BOLEH OOTD

Kafe Belibis (Muzium Pahang) Dalam Keratapi

Kafe Belibis offers a charming, nostalgic dining experience—eating inside refurbished train carriages next to the river, with colonial-era architecture and river views adding to the mood. The menu mixes local Malay-Pahang traditional fare (laksa Pahang, opor daging, Nasi Campur, puding raja) with some Western items; many like the laksa for its flavour and the photogenic setting of the train car. On the downside, feedback points out that service can be slow during busy times, temperature/ventilation in the train carriages is less than ideal, and some food items lack seasoning or arrive lukewarm. Overall, a good pick if you value ambiance and a unique setting just as much as the food.

Kafe Jom Makan

Had their nasi kerabu and seriously, it was so good! 💙 The rice wangi, kuah pekat and flavourful, ayam percik juicy gila. Portion besar, memang puas hati. The café itself cozy, clean, and staff all friendly, service cepat, senyum je. If you’re craving authentic nasi kerabu around Kuantan, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Pasillo

This spot is honestly such a vibe. Pasillo’s kinda hidden between buildings, an open café concept that makes it feel super cozy and breezy. Most of the food here is under RM20, which is insane for how good it tastes! I went at night, and the whole place just lights up with fairy lights — sooo pretty 😍 It gives that warm, chill energy, perfect for hanging out or just having a slow evening. Definitely a go-to if you’re around Kuantan and want something affordable but aesthetic.

Kuantan Pickers & Kedai Kopi

Kuantan Pickers offers a cozy retro-kopitiam vibe with lots of nostalgic charm—old signage, antique displays, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a favourite spot for brunch or relaxed breakfast. The menu leans local, with hits like Vietnam coffee, nasi dagang, roti bun bakar, and kuih-muis tradisional, all decently done, though some items (like scones or eggs) get inconsistent feedback (cold or slightly overdone) . Prices are fair, service is friendly, and the café is especially good if you come early (or expect queues and limited parking later), so it’s great for a casual, nostalgic food & coffee hang.

Mee Sup Setambung Mek Soho

Here’s a short review of Mee Sup Setambung Mek Soho, Kuantan: The place serves up bowlfuls of mee sup (“setambung” style) that look generous, but many customers feel the flavour is pretty basic and tends to rely too much on stock or seasoning powder rather than bold depth. The setting is casual and relaxed (semi-D house with backyard style), good for leisurely meals. Downsides include long wait times, limited menu variety, and some people feel the prices are higher than what the meal delivers in terms of portion and richness.
