Came here twice, second time by mistake but I decide to give it another chance … I’m giving this restaurant 3* : one because it’s halal , second one for the chicken karage that is actually good , halal and cheap (avg. 200¥ a piece) and one for the proximity of the mosque so it’s kinda like having a prayer room. The ramen was not for me, the taste of cold chicken skin/fat pretty much ruins it for me, I tried the roasted option but as others have mentioned it’s “boiled-roasted” and left to cool down until someone orders it - the skin was not roasted - The amount of coriander in the ramen and the gyoza is way too high, overwhelming taste that ruins the rest, there is an option to replace it by green onions for the ramen but not the gyoza. The service is … well not Japanese standards but that would be unfair to expect Japanese level from non-japanese staff so just lower your expectations. The music is very loud and the staff talk very loud too, they were making more noise than all the customers combined. The place is great if you want fried chicken, or to grab a bite before heading to a prayer.

One of the halal ramen shops we tried in the Ueno area 🍜 We came without a reservation and were able to walk in and get a seat right away. The place was comfortable and not cramped at all. The staff were very fast and friendly, excellent service 👍🏻 The food was delicious! My husband and I ordered the spicy ramen, and it suited our taste perfectly. The broth was rich and flavorful. A must-try if you’re in Ueno

Upon arrival you'll meet a kiosk to order on the left, in which you pay and get your order ticket. They use the vending machines order style here. The halal ramen was a bit different here, they gives you lots of green onions and even some black fungi. The main thing was the broth. You'll see some bad reviews saying it real ramen due to how the broth is made, but it wasn't as bad as they made it sound. The broth is what you expect if you boiled chicken bones and added salt. It was a normal chicken stock and tasted like home cooking. The prices are good for what you get, and it isn't overly heavy like other ramens. Alhamdulillah.

Authentic halal ramen in Japan. The staff were very polite and helpful when I paid with coins. 😅 The taste suited my thick Indonesian palate. And, it's open until late (in Japan, it sometimes closes earlier) and the prices are very affordable. I'll definitely be back!

We had lunch at Toribushi Halal Ramen and it’s really, really good. I went for the Special Chicken Spicy Ramen, and my wife had the Roasted Chicken Soy Ramen (her favourite from now on 😄). The broth was the highlight. Rich, comforting and full of flavour without being too heavy. You can tell they take their soup seriously. The gyoza was nicely done too. Crispy outside, juicy inside. We finished everything. The shop has a simple, slightly rustic and relaxed vibe. Nothing fancy, just cosy and easy. You order at the machine near the entrance first, but the staff are friendly and still attentive at the table (a smile definitely helps 😃). Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. Honestly, if you’re around this area, you should try it. And even if you need to make a small detour, it’s worth it.
