Naruto Main Shop is an iconic culinary landmark in Otaru, famous for its legendary Wakadori no Karaage—a crispy, deep-fried half-chicken seasoned simply with salt and ginger. While the restaurant is not certified halal and serves non-halal items, many Muslim visitors frequent the shop specifically for the chicken, which is prepared without alcohol or lard, or opt for their incredibly fresh selection of sushi and seafood bowls. It offers a lively, authentic atmosphere that captures the essence of Hokkaido's soul food, making it a must-visit for foodies, provided you are comfortable environment.
