Jawa Cafe in Kompleks Yik Fong, Ipoh is a hidden gem for fans of Indonesian Ayam Penyet. Reviewers praise its authentic recipe (learned from Java, Indonesia), especially the crispy-outside, juicy-inside chicken and “padu” sambal that packs good flavour. The pricing is reasonable (around RM9-11 for a set), the ambiance is simple and homey, though seating inside can get a bit warm so many prefer outdoor spots.
