Breakfast Restaurant

Selera Suka Ramai is a casual restaurant located along Federal Route 8, Kampung Dendang, Ketereh. It’s popular among locals for dine-in or takeout, and has average rating ~3.9/5 from about 19 reviews. What people like: • It’s accessible and straightforward. Being on a main route makes it convenient. • The food is decent; many comment that the flavour meets expectations for a simple, local meal. • Good place for casual meals (not fancy) with friends or family. What could be better: • 3.9 stars suggests some inconsistency — some meals or visits probably less satisfying than others. • Since it’s a popular, not high-end place, you might expect service to be a bit slower during peak times. • Menu variety / choice may be limited compared to bigger restaurants; you get what they specialise in, not luxury stuff.

Korean Restaurant

KL Santai Cafe is a good choice for casual eats in Kok Lanas. If you want something relaxed, flexible menu choices (local + some fusion / western style), reasonably priced, open in the evening, this place ticks many boxes. It might not be gourmet or ultra fancy, but for comfort food, meetups with friends, or when you want to try a bit of everything, it delivers well.

Nasi Kerabu Singgang Kamariah is known for offering a distinct blend of nasi kerabu + singgang daging — an unusual but appealing combination that many say is hard to find elsewhere. The nasi kerabu is typically the blue-rice style (with bunga telang) and paired with aromatic singgang (Kelantanese light, sour broth with meat) that gives it a refreshing edge. What people like: • The uniqueness: combining kerabu + singgang is a standout. Many reviewers remark that the mix surprisingly works well, with the flavors complementing each other without overpowering. • Freshness & authenticity: the ingredients (herbs, meat, broth) are perceived by customers as fresh; the singgang broth brings a nice depth and brightness to the dish. • Portion & value: the servings are satisfying (meat + rice + side items) for what you pay. What could be better / things to watch out: • Because of its uniqueness and popularity, some days may see items run out (especially meat or singgang side). • The balance between the strong flavours of singgang and the subtle herb notes of kerabu can be delicate — sometimes one might overshadow the other depending on cooking. • Waiting time may increase, especially if many orders are placed; it may take time to get the full set.

I tried Ayam Geprek Sambal Ijo in Kok Lanas recently and overall it’s a satisfying meal. The chicken is fried well and smashed to let the sambal ijo really cling onto it, so every bite has flavour. Sambal ijo starts mild but builds up heat slowly — good if you like spice but don’t want to get shocked from the first mouthful. Rice portion is fair, and the crunchy cabbage side helps balance the spice. Price is reasonable for what you get, especially with the combo options. What could be better: sometimes the sambal varies in taste (some bites sweeter, some more garlicky) and when it’s busy, the food arrives lukewarm. But for craving ayam geprek + green-chili sambal in Kok Lanas, this place mostly does well.

Meal Takeaway

I recently stopped by Kedai Makan Kak Tie (Kok Lanas, Ketereh, Kelantan) for lunch and had a pretty decent experience. It’s one of those local kedai makan yang simple tapi rasa dia ada effort. Menu dia banyak pilihan Melayu tradisional & nasi kerabu: ayam bakar, daging bakar, paru goreng, budu + keropok, telur masin — macam lengkap kalau nak enjoy lauk & ulam. What stood out: • The nasi kerabu options are quite nice. Sambal/gulai/side dishes dia rasa sedap ikut expectation, especially bila lauk bakar or ayam goreng. • Harga dia reasonable; portion-portion tak terlalu sikit. For a local spot, you get what you pay for. • Lokasi senang dicari di Federal Route 8 (Kok Lanas) dan ada dine-in & take-away, jadi cocok kalau nak cepat makan atau lepak sikit sambil minum kopi sebelah.

Coffee Shop

2 Friends Kok Lanas serves classic fast food-style meals, focusing mainly on crispy fried chicken, loaded fries & hearty burgers. The portions are satisfying & everything is packed with flavour (especially the well-seasoned fried chicken). Perfect for those craving quick, indulgent comfort food.
