Sambal ijo starts mild but builds up heat slowly — good if you like spice but don’t want to get shocked from the first mouthful. Rice portion is fair, and the crunchy cabbage side helps balance the spice. Price is reasonable for what you get, especially with the combo options. What could be better: sometimes the sambal varies in taste (some bites sweeter, some more garlicky) and when it’s busy, the food arrives lukewarm. But for craving ayam geprek + green-chili sambal in Kok Lanas, this place mostly does well.

I recently stopped by Kedai Makan Kak Tie (Kok Lanas, Ketereh, Kelantan) for lunch and had a pretty decent experience. It’s one of those local kedai makan yang simple tapi rasa dia ada effort. Menu dia banyak pilihan Melayu tradisional & nasi kerabu: ayam bakar, daging bakar, paru goreng, budu + keropok, telur masin — macam lengkap kalau nak enjoy lauk & ulam.  What stood out: • The nasi kerabu options are quite nice. Sambal/gulai/side dishes dia rasa sedap ikut expectation, especially bila lauk bakar or ayam goreng.  • Harga dia reasonable; portion-portion tak terlalu sikit. For a local spot, you get what you pay for.  • Lokasi senang dicari di Federal Route 8 (Kok Lanas) dan ada dine-in & take-away, jadi cocok kalau nak cepat makan atau lepak sikit sambil minum kopi sebelah.
